It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Shirley Gionette on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of James. Loving mother of Jimmy and Lynn. Daughter of the late Perry “Red” and Willamay Dickinson. Sister of Perry. Predeceased by siblings Sharon, Donald, Darion, Joy and May. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was Aunty Shirley to many people.
Shirley volunteered many hours to the Blind River Beavers and to community blood drives. She enjoyed knitting and shared her slippers with many. She liked being around people and was well liked by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Naccarato, Dr. Rowe and Dr. Jeeves for helping to keep Mom comfortable in her final days. Also thank you to the nurses, PSW’s, and the entire staff at North Shore Health Network, Blind River site, for helping our Mom and our family during her short stay. You’re angels.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Mississauga First Nation Band Hall from 12pm on Friday, March 8, 2019 until time of service at 11am on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Father Lourdo officiating. Feast to follow funeral services. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home www.menardfh.com
