Clarke, Robert “Bruce”
January 21, 1944-January 3, 2019
Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the Sault Area Hospital, just short of his 75th birthday. Survived by his beloved wife Nancy (nee Dowdall), son Rob and wife Tamara and daughter Wendy and husband Kerry Williamson. Also survived by his grandchildren Erica, Taylor, Tom, Abbie and Cody and his 2 great grandsons Austin and Greyson. Predeceased by his parents Hazel and Girvin Clarke, his brother Stephen and his parents in law Jean and George Dowdall. He was the brother of Paul Clarke (Ruby) and Tim Clarke (Sigrid) and brother in law of Bill (Liz), Kevin, Bob (Bonnie), David, Paul (Karen) and Peter (Christine). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bruce loved golf and tinkering in the garage, especially wood working. He volunteered at the Huron Pines Golf Course and at the Boom Camp Trails.
The family wishes to thank Doctors Landry, DiFabio and Ghosh as well as the many nurses and staff of ICU at the Sault Area Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to visit and celebrate Bruce’s life on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Menard Funeral Home, located at 72 Lakeside Avenue, Blind River, 705-356-7151.
