September 20, 1945-July 5, 2017
It is with great regret that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Janet Poisson passed away the morning of July 5, 2017 at North Shore Health Network, Blind River, Ontario in her 72nd year. Janet leaves behind her loving husband Jean Paul, her daughter Penny (Dennis), and her beloved son Johnnie. Best Gram ever to Alexis and Payton, Josh, Madelaine, and Yianni. Daughter of The Late Jack and Cass MacDonald and daughter in-law of The Late Paul and Fabiola Poisson. Survived by her brother Bill MacDonald (Sally), her sister Jacqueline Ralph (The Late Dale) and sister in law Arleen MacDonald. Predeceased by her brothers Jim, Dick and Neil. Sister in law of Jacqueline Poisson, Giséle Royer (Rejean), Cecile Poisson, Marc-Émile Poisson (Carrolle), Julienne Corbeil (Marc). Janet leaves many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Anyone who knew Janet knew that her family meant the world to her. Our lives will forever be changed after her passing: she was truly one of a kind. She was a kind and generous spirit who always wanted to help others. Janet was known for her love of life, family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it.
We have many wonderful memories of the family times we spent together and I am sure those of you who knew Janet have lots of great memories to share as well. We look forward to sharing those memories with you at Janet’s Celebration of Life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Janet’s Life on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 7pm to 9pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Blind River, Ontario. The family would like for you to join them at 8pm to raise your glass and toast the life of Janet.
